Patch Picks: July 4 Events in Glen Cove

How will you spend your July 4 weekend in Glen Cove?

This Fourth of July celebrate our nations independence with plenty of food, fireworks and fun at these Glen Cove hot spots and events.

  • – Where/When: , 1 Landing Road, Glen Cove, Sunday July 3. – Glen Cove residents and their families are all invited to the annual Fourth of July Celebration at Morgan Park. The event includes live musical entertainment by Northwinds Band, which is led by Glen Cove’s very own Helen Bauer. The evening concludes with the annual spectacular fireworks display. The concert will be held on the stage in Morgan Memorial Park and will begin at 7:30 p.m and continue until 9:00 p.m after which the fireworks will begin. All guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. In the event of rain, the fireworks will be rescheduled for Monday, July 4.
  • – Where/When: , Forest Ave, Monday July 4 at 10 a.m – The Glen Cove Youth Bureau is having their annual Children’s Bicycle Parade. Kids are encouraged to decorate their bikes, scooters, trikes and battery-powered vehicles with a patriotic theme. The parade will travel down Forest Avenue to School Street and end at Village Square with an Independence Day celebration full with music, a sing-a-long of patriotic songs and refreshments with Mayor Suozzi. A parent or guardian must accompany their children, and helmets and protective gear are mandatory.
  • – Where/When , 1 Landing Road, Saturday July 2 at 7:30 p.m. – Bring your family down to Morgan Park for a free concert in the park.  The North Shore Pops Concert Band will be performing in their Salute to Americana series. The band will be conducted by Eric Albinder. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m
  • Fourth of July Barbeque at the Glen Cove Yacht Club – Where/When: , 1 McLoughlin Street, Sunday July 3. – Join the staff and members of the Glen Cove Yacht Club for their Fourth of July BBQ. Traditional barbeque foods will be served along with plenty of refreshments and entertainment for all. For more information call 516-676-9450.
  • – If you’re not in the mood to cook or don’t have any Fourth of July plans, head down to Page One Restaurant where the chefs always try their best to serve tasty and festive treats. This holiday weekend, Page One will be serving items off of their regular menu plus a few Fourth of July barbeque specials. For reservations please call 516-676-2800.
