Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Being Hit By Car
Police say the woman was trying to cross a street in Nassau County when she was hit.
A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after they were hit by a car while crossing Brewster Avenue in Glen Cove Tuesday night.
According to police, a 25-year-old woman was crossing Brewster Avenue at 8:10 p.m. when they were hit by a 2005 Volkswagen being driven by a 23-year-old woman. The pedestrian suffered serious head trauma and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where she is listed in critical condition.
The driver remained at the scene. Police say the car was brake and safety tested, and there is no apparently criminality in the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
