Poetry Cabaret Will Be Group's First in Glen Cove

Bards Initiative will hold performance art dinner at Page One Restaurant next week.

The poetry group Bards Initiative will hold its first at on Wednesday, March 21. Emcee Marc Rosen called the event experimental, but hopes the turnout will give rise to a tradition.

The evening will include a three-course meal in addition to three featured acts covering poetry, comedy and musical performances.

One act is a one-woman show by actor, teacher and social worker Terri Muuss, titled “Anatomy of a Doll.” It deals with the damaging effects of childhood sexual abuse by a family member, and the link between the abuse and substance abuse later in life.
