Police: Glen Cove Man Planted Recording Device in Women's Bathroom
A woman found a cellphone pointed at her while she was going to the bathroom inside a Glen Head restaurant Wednesday, police said.

A Glen Cove man was arrested for planting a recording cellphone inside the women’s bathroom of a Glen Head restaurant on Wednesday, police said.
According to authorities, a woman saw a male employee leaving the women’s bathroom at Jack’s Shack, located at 617A Glen Cove Ave, at 1:55 p.m.
The woman noticed there was a recording cellphone taped under the sink pointed at her while she was going to the bathroom, police said.

The victim called police who then arrested restaurant employee Edward Ramirez, 43, of Hazel Street.
Ramirez was charged with second degree unlawful surveillance and will be arraigned Thursday at District Court in Hempstead.

Ramirez was also arrested last November after police say he exposed himself to two young sisters and forced one of them to touch him while the girls’ mother was in an adjacent aisle at the Glen Cove Stop & Stop, where Ramirez was employed at the time. The status of that case is unclear.
