Police: Supermarket Employee Exposed Himself to Children, Forced One to Touch Him at Store
Young sisters were in an aisle adjacent to their mother when the alleged incident occurred at Glen Cove store.

A employee at the Glen Cove Stop & Shop exposed himself to two young sisters and forced one of them to touch him while the girls’ mother was in an adjacent aisle at the store, Nassau police said.
The alleged incident occurred on Nov. 24 at about 7 p.m. at the supermarket located at 177 Forest Avenue.
Following an investigation, 43-year-old Edward Ramirez, of Glen Cove, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with first degree sexual abuse and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to police, Ramirez exposed himself to a 7-year-old girl while looking directly at her, police said. When the girl then ran to the adjacent aisle to tell her mother what happened, Ramirez then exposed himself to the girl’s 5-year-old sister, police said.
Ramirez forced the 5-year-old to touch him, police said. The 5-year-old then also ran to find her mother, police said.

Ramirez will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday.
