Stop & Shop Celebrates Grand Reopening of Glen Cove Store
Remodeled Store Features a Fresh New Look, Enhanced Deli & Bakery Departments and More Freshly Prepared Foods for Easy Meals on-the-Go

Stop & Shop, a neighborhood grocer for more than 100 years, today unveiled its newly remodeled store in Glen Cove, NY (177 Forrest Avenue).
The store, which opened its doors in 2001, is now noticeably brighter and more modern. The store not only has a new look, but it also has new features that are centered around delivering fresh, healthy, and convenient options to make grocery shopping easier.

Highlights of the remodeled Glen Cove store include:
- New grab-and-go meal solutions including a new hot foods bar featuring entrees and sides, as well as sushi made fresh in-store daily
- An updated deli department that features an expanded assortment of offerings
- Expanded beer section with local craft finds such as Bluepoint Brewery and Greenport Brewery
- An enhanced bakery department complete with a new service case filled with delicious cakes, cupcakes and other treats
- Organic and natural products integrated within the grocery aisles allowing customers to see all product options available
- Convenience cases filled with the essentials – milk, bread, butter, and eggs – located right by checkout so customers can quickly grab the most-needed items, without having to walk the entire store
“We’re excited to share our newly remodeled store with our local shoppers,” said James Nemeth, Store Manager of Stop & Shop Glen Cove. “We’ve added more of what our customers want and upgrades they need to get their shopping done faster and get back to what matters most.”

Glen Cove follows Stop & Shop’s opening of its new Woodmere store one week ago. Later this month, Stop & Shop will unveil remodeled stores in West Babylon and Huntington, as well as Port Washington in December.
To celebrate the remodeled store, Stop & Shop will donate $1,000 and $500 in Nature’s Promise® natural and organic products to St. Patrick’s Church in Glen Cove.
