'Tree Trimmer' Stole Elderly Couple's Life Savings in Glen Cove: Police
The man was extradited back to Nassau County following an investigation by Glen Cove detectives.

A New Jersey man who posed as a tree trimmer and stole more than $50,000 from a retired Glen Cove couple last year was officially extradited back to Nassau County on Monday, police said.
According to Glen Cove Police, a group of men posing as a tree trimming crew tricked a retired couple into cutting down some trees in their backyard on Feb. 3, 2015.
While the couple was distracted, police said one of the “tree trimmers” entered the couple’s bedroom and removed a safe that contained the couple’s life savings.
