Turkey Giveaway Great Success

North Shore Hispanic Chamber and Kiwanis Club of the North Shore join forces

Under the leadership of the North Shore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and in collaboration with the Kiwanis Club of the North Shore, the two organizations joined together to deliver more than 200 turkeys and trimmings to families in need on the North Shore. The event was held at the North Shore High School this past Sunday. “This was our third annual event,” said North Shore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President Connie Pinilla, Esq. “We could not be more pleased with the response”

In addition to Pinilla, the officers of the board who lent a hand included 1st Vice President Ever Padilla, 2nd Vice President Gaitley Stevenson-Mathews, and Secretary Denky Begonja. Other board members helping on the day of the event included Lisa Golden, Esq. and Nadia Vee.

Volunteers included Lia DiAngelo with Comite Civico Argentina, Judith Rivera with CareFirst Home Solutions, David Thompson with Extraordinary Auto, and Yovanis Galo, to name a few. In addition to serving individuals and families on the North Shore, the organizations also provided Turkeys to NOSH Delivers, Glen Cove EOC, Iglesia Ciudad de Refugio, and to Pastor Raul Matinez.

President Pinilla expressed her appreciation to the President of North Shore Kiwanis, Roger Hill, Lieutenant Governor Julia Salat, and to Past President and board member, John Kle, for all of their help and support.
