Voter's Guide: Glen Cove School Budget, Board Election

What you need to know for election day.

Glen Cove residents will vote on the school district’s $83,705,760 proposed budget for the 2016-17 school year on Tuesday, May 17.

The proposal calls for a 1.48 percent increase in spending over the current year and a 0.32 percent tax levy decrease, which is within the state’s tax cap.

Two candidates are running uncontested for two open seats on the Glen Cove Board of Education. Candidates include:

  • David Huggins
  • Alexander Juarez

Residents can vote at Glen Cove High School’s back gym on Dosoris Lane or Connolly School on Ridge Drive.
