Backyard Series at Hudson Yards Unveils Fall Events Lineup: See Here

Programming will be held at Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens.

NEW YORK CITY — Hudson Yards has announced its fall 2026 lineup for Backyard at Hudson Yards presented by Wells Fargo, bringing free sports, entertainment, fitness and cultural programming to the Public Square & Gardens.

After a busy summer that included World Cup watch parties, live concerts and partnerships with STORYfest and Carnegie Hall, the programming continues through the fall with events designed to bring New Yorkers and visitors together.

  • Fall Family Day — September 19: A full day of free family entertainment featuring live performances, interactive activities, balloon artists, face painting, a KIDZ Bop DJ Dance Party, a magic show and Mozart for Munchkins. The New York Historical will also present hands-on activities focused on the Revolutionary Era.
  • Fall Movie Nights: Friday screenings on the 30-foot Big Screen include RENT on September 18, "Mean Girls" on September 25, "Chicago" on October 2, "Hairspray" on October 9, "Wicked" on October 16, "Back to the Future" on October 23 and "Beetlejuice" on October 30.
  • Sports Watch Parties: Free public screenings will run through September and October, covering major events in baseball, football, soccer, tennis, golf, rugby, sailing and other sports.
  • STORYfest by Reese’s Book Club — September 26: The event will feature a live conversation with a bestselling author, a book signing and meet-and-greet, and opportunities for readers to connect.
  • Fitness: lululemon will host Thursday HIIT workouts through October 1. Beginning October 7, Rhone will present its weekly "Extra Mile Run Club" on Wednesdays throughout October, followed by drink specials at Bronx Brewery.
  • Backyard Bites: Food and beverage options will continue through October 31, including Myka Truck, Dickson’s Farmstand, Xing Fu Tang, Vive La Crepe and Van Leeuwen.

Wells Fargo customers will receive additional benefits during the fall, including early RSVP opportunities for select events, complimentary movie-night popcorn and discounts or complimentary upgrades at participating food vendors.

The Backyard at Hudson Yards programming is free and open to the public, providing a mix of community activities, cultural events and entertainment throughout the fall.
