• Monkey Found inside Home in Western New York (wyrk.com) — A spider monkey was recently seized from a Grand Island home after state environmental officers found it was being kept illegally and appeared injured and malnourished. The animal has since been moved to a sanctuary, and officials are reminding residents that New York’s exotic animal laws strictly prohibit owning monkeys as pets, even though other unusual animal licenses do exist.
