Afternoon Matinee: heck out Disney's Pixar film Brave at the Great Neck Library Tuesday and enjoy an afternoon of popcorn fueled cinema. Rating: PG. For children ages 2-12 with parent/caregiver Adult library card is not valid for registration. Proceeds donated to charity. Runs from 6-11 p.m. at North Hempstead Beach Park. Free admission. Rides: $25.

Nearby: Snapper fishing for kids in Port Washington. All bait and equipment provided. Fishing mates on hand to bait hooks, release fish, and give fishing tips. For kids under 13.
