The Art of Relaxation: Hip Pottery Painting Studio in Great Neck

Looking for a different type of relaxation? Muddworks might be your answer.

Providing a cozy atmosphere for guests of all ages to create artwork on pottery, the Great Neck Plaza studio provides a warm and friendly location for groups, families or friends to spend quality time.

Located at 6C Bond Street, the studio offers a selection of more than 300 pottery pieces (bisque) including items for home decor, kitchen, bathroom, pets, garden and children.

Patrons pick a piece of pottery, choose a design, then decorate it using non-toxic, lead paint colors. The pieces are later glazed and fired in studio by Muddworks staff. The finished product is available for pick up in seven to 10 days.

To paint in studio, an $8 studio fee is required for the first hour, $12 for two hours or more. The fee includes instruction and use of all studio supplies such as idea books, paints, paint brushes, stamps, stencils, sponges, plus glazing and firing.

All pottery pieces run from $10, about $14 on average.

Party rates are available in advance to groups of 15-30 painters. Studio walk-ins are welcome on a first-come-first-serve basis.
