Bridgeview Yacht Club to Host Thanksgiving Luncheon

November, 2017 (Island Park, NY) -- In an effort to further connect with the local community and those in need this Thanksgiving, Bridgeview Yacht Club, the elegant Island Park venue which normally specializes in weddings and other events, will host a Thanksgiving Luncheon for local seniors and families in need at their facility (80 Waterfront Blvd, Island Park, NY 11558) from 12PM-3PM on Thursday, November 23rd.

Partnering with Island Park’s Sacred Heart Church, and in remembrance of the 5 years passed since the community was ravaged by the effects of Hurricane Sandy, survivors will come together with others also struggling to get by this Holiday season to break bread and help support one another.

Volunteers on hand will be delivering meals to the elderly and immobilized in the surrounding area as well, along with the help of Bridgeview staff members and their families.

Bridgeview Owner and Operator John Vitale says he wanted to do something special “...in an effort to commemorate the 5 year anniversary of Sandy, and to enjoy a day together to be thankful for the fact that we continue to regrow and re-build. Many of our employees were right at the center of devastation from the storm and they all contributed to our recovery. Sacred Heart Church has always been the backbone of our community and we wanted to come together to help support those in need both young and old.”

With so much to be thankful for, Bridgeview and Sacred Heart Church are proud to be coming together this Thanksgiving for this special Luncheon helping to celebrate Island Park’s efforts to band together in love and support for those in their community who need it most.
