No classes for district students as Hurricane Sandy draws near.
Great Neck Public Schools will be closed Monday due to the impending storm, the school district announced on its website Sunday.
Cancellations include all school-related activities Monday, according to the school district.
Parents, faculty, and staff will be notified of closing through the ParentLink System, according to the school district website. Information can also be obtained by checking with the district website, Patch, TV and local radio stations.

Emergency school closings are made by the school superintendent based on police reports on road conditions from local villages and Nassau County, area weather reports and local weather conditions, checks of road conditions by school personnel and recommendations of the bus company serving the district, according to the school district website.
