Earthquake Rattles Long Island

Did you feel it?

A 4.1 magnitude earthquake rattled the East Coast Thursday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake occurred near Dover, Del. at 4:47 p.m.

The quake could be felt as far north as upstate New York. On Long Island, 38-year-old Alexandra Schumm said she was working in her third-floor office in Manhasset when her house "made a creak-crack sound and then my office chair started to rock side-to-side a little bit.

"The water in my glass was moving and I looked over and my space heater was rocking slightly. It lasted about eight seconds."
