Great Neck Bruins Set Tryout Dates

Limited player opening are available on next year's rosters of Great Neck Bruins hockey teams, according to the Great Neck Park District.

Goaltenders are especially needed in the Pewee and Midget 18U classes, according to coaches.

Tryouts are fee for district residents, $50 for non-residents.

Potential players are advised to arrive at the ice rink early on tryout day to fill out the needed paperwork. Go online to the park district website for more sign-up information.

Squirt and Peewee team rosters will be announced April 5. Bantam and Mdget teams will be posted April 23.

Bruins hockey staff will conduct tryouts at the Andrew Stergiopoulos ice rink, 65 Arrandale Ave., in March and April on the following dates:

• March 19: Squirts from 6:45-7:45 p.m.; Peewees from 8-9 p.m.
• March 21: Squirts from 6:30-7:30 p.m.; Peewees from 7:45-8:45 p.m.
• April 9: Bantams from 5:45-6:45 p.m.; Midget 16U from 7-8 p.m.; Midget 18U from 8:15-9:15 p.m.
• April 11: Bantams from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.; Midget 16U from 7:45-8:45 p.m.; Midget 18U from 9-10 p.m.
