UPDATED: Great Neck Insurance Agent Recognized For Giving Back

She helped a local charity secure a $1,000 grant to help make a difference in the Great Neck community.

A Great Neck insurance estate agent was recently recognized for her commitment to helping others and making a difference in the community.

Allstate agency owner RoseMary D’Amico-Catalano received the Agency Helping Hands in the Community Award, which earned Hair We Share Inc., where she volunteers, a $1,000 grant from the Allstate Foundation.

“This organization truly makes a difference in the Great Neck community,” D’Amico-Catalano said in a press release. “These grant funds will help these incorporations continue to improve the lives of many people in the surrounding area. I am inspired by the work that they have accomplished and I am proud to be a part of their efforts.”

The Agency Helping Hands in the Community Award promotes volunteerism and helping local organizations among Allstate agents and employees. The Allstate Foundation awards more than $1 million every year to nonprofit organizations across the country.

“Commitment to our communities is a natural extension of what we do every day – protecting people from life’s uncertainties and preparing them for the future,” Don Rubbo, New York Regional Sales Leader, said. “With support from The Allstate Foundation, RoseMary D’Amico-Catalano and Hair We Share Inc. make Great Neck a better, happier place to live.”
