Nassau Thief Sneaks Into Apartment Complex, Ransacks Parked Cars

BREAKING: Police say the man snuck into an apartment complex and gained access to a parking garage.

GREAT NECK, NY — Police are investigating a burglary in Great Neck after a thief snuck into an apartment complex and rifled through multiple vehicles, stealing credit cards and various documents.

The man unlawfully entered the apartment complex around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nassau County police said. The complex is located near South Middle Neck and Russell Woods roads.

Once inside, the man gained access to a parking garage and stole items from various parked vehicles.

Police described the suspect as black, standing 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has a medium to stocky build and is bald. The suspect was wearing a dark flannel jacket, blue shirt, blue jeans and black and white sneakers.
