1 Arrested After North Hills Home Break-in, Struggle: Police
A Mineola woman will be staring down a judge Thursday to answer burglary charges for breaking into a North Hills home, police said.
GREAT NECK, NY — A Mineola woman was arrested following a struggle during a North Hills home burglary, Nassau County police said Thursday.
A police spokesman said that at about 9 a.m. on Wednesday a woman entered her Chestnut Hill home and found 27-year-old Kimberly Ann Reill in her home placing property in a bag. She confronted her, and Reill shoved the woman while trying to get away, police said. A man, who heard the altercation between the women from upstairs, came downstairs and together the two were able to keep Reill under control until police officers arrived, police said. Detectives later found what is believed to be heroin in Reill’s possession, police said.
Reill has been charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree robbery, and second-degree criminal mischief and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. If convicted on the top charge of burglary, she faces up to 15 years in prison. She will be arraigned on Thursday in Mineola.
