Man Drove Drunk With 10-Year-Old Daughter in Backseat in Lake Success: Police

The man was arrested Monday morning.

A Bethpage man faces felony DWI charges after police say he drove drunk with his 10-year-old daughter in the car Monday morning in Lake Success.

According to authorities, officers pulled over Walter Rissmeyer, 41, who was swerving through the lanes in his 2007 Chrysler suburban southbound on Lakeville Road at 1:50 a.m. and determined he was intoxicated.

The man’s daughter was also found to be in the rear passenger seat of the vehicle, police say.

No injuries were reported.

Rissmeyer is being charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, endangering the welfare of a child, driving across roadway marking and failed to use designated lane.
