GREAT NECK, NY — A Queens man has been arrested after police said he was entering peoples' homes in Great Neck by pretending to be a village sub-contractor. Jonathan Guzman, 33, of 91st Avenue in Queens Village, was arrested stemming from incidents that happened around noon Wednesday in the Russell Gardens area, Suffolk County police said Thursday.

Investigators determined Guzman visited two homes on Tain Drive and Clent Road posing as a village sub-contractor and said he needed to check gas and electric meters. The homeowners gave him access, and he left without any proceeds.

When suspicious homeowners called the Village Hall asking about Guzman, they were told he did not work for the village. A worker then called police and gave a description of the the man and the vehicle he was driving.
