Metropolitan Commercial Bank Announces Holiday Coat Drive

For thousands of New Yorkers and Long Islanders, who are facing the winter months without a warm coat, this could be a cold, harsh holiday season. In response, Metropolitan Commercial Bank® is once again partnering with New York Cares and Long Island Cares in collecting lightly used and new coats as part of the Bank’s Give the Gift of Warmth Holiday Coat Drive at each of its five banking centers in New York; Brooklyn; and Great Neck, Long Island. The Bank will be collecting coats through December 31, 2017. All coats collected at the Bank’s New York and Brooklyn banking centers will be delivered to New York Cares. Coats collected at the Bank’s Great Neck banking center will be distributed by Long Island Cares to families in need throughout Long Island.

It is especially gratifying during the holiday season to be able to deliver the gift of warmth that these coats represent to so many families across the New York region,” stated Laura Capra, Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Banking. “We asked our employees, across all five banking centers and corporate headquarters, to help us jump-start our 2nd annual coat drive. As was the case last year, their response has been overwhelming and inspiring, and it is another example of how Metropolitan Commercial Bank employees rally together to help make a difference in our local neighborhoods.”

Metropolitan Commercial Bank clients, as well as local neighborhood residents and businesses, are welcome to visit any of the Bank’s five banking centers during regular business hours to donate gently used or new coats. Banking center locations are:
