Nassau Police ID Woman Stabbed To Death In Great Neck

Nassau police have identified the woman from the United Kingdom who was murdered in Great Neck earlier this month.

Denise Webster, 61, of Garwood, in the United Kingdom, was stabbed to death by 66-year-old Faye Doomchin, police say, in Doomchin's home in Great Neck on Aug. 13.

Det. Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick told ABC the woman, who had a mutual male friend with Doomchin, was visiting from England. Doomchin stabbed the woman in the chest with a kitchen knife to "rid the house of evil," the report says.

Webster was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Doomchin was charged with second-degree murder.
