Peru Needs Our Help!

Hello, Friends, my name is Roxana as some of you many know Peru has been going through tough times. Huaycos known as mudslides have been destroying parts all over Peru ruining mostly poor areas. Leaving more than 72,000 affected, 100 dead people,14 THOUSAND HOMES DESTROYED, 2 thousand highway kilometers affected or destroyed,15 thousand hectares crops affected or destroyed. So many families were left without homes, food, and water. And that is not what any human being should go through.

I'm here for one thing and one thing only and that is to help my fellow Peruvians. Coming from a poor background from Peru I can relate to those affected who don't have food, water or a roof over their heads. I've been talking to my colleagues in Peru and they have informed me that they haven't had running water for weeks. Which is unacceptable.

Since sending luggage from NY to Peru by plane is too expensive I thought that I would travel to Peru along with volunteers and VIDEO TAPE/DOCUMENT everything that I buy with the money. Which would be exclusively for those kids left without parents and for families. I've also been in contact with a few churches like Cathedral of Lima, who agreed to help when we get there. In making sure everyone gets something. Items such as blankets, food,water, clothing and other necessities will be given to them. Which will all be documented on my Facebook page.
