Reliance Star Payment Services Returns to Long Island and Opens National Headquarters in Great Neck

Reliance Star Payment Services marked its 10th Anniversary and LI return with the grand opening of its national headquarters in Great Neck.

Great Neck, NY; Sept. 10, 2014 – Reliance Star Payment Services, a leader in the payment processing services for merchants, celebrated its 10th Anniversary and Long Island return with the Grand Opening of its new national headquarters at 475 Northern Blvd., Suite 38, in Great Neck, NY. Owners, Fenella Kim, President/CEO and John H. Kim, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, welcomed over 150 government, Chamber of Commerce and other business and community leaders to the celebration. Dignitaries joined with the owners for a ribbon-cutting ceremony which featured a red ribbon embellished with messages of “Good Luck” and “Congratulations” in several languages: English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Hebrew, and more, reflecting the diverse multilingual business clientele that Reliance Star serves on Long Island and nationwide.

“The new headquarters is symbolic of our company’s growth and commitment to quality customer service. The world of credit card processing is complex and confusing to business owners. We are committed to educating clients, saving them money and helping them leverage the power of accepting credit cards and electronic payments in growing their revenues,” said Fenella Kim, President/CEO of Reliance Star.

“We have expanded our business steadily since 2004 when we first opened in Northport, Long Island. We now have 20 employees here in Great Neck and expect to hire 40 more talented, experienced people over the next few years,” said John H. Kim, Reliance Star Co-Founder and Managing Partner.

The Grand Opening program and Open House festivities included a networking reception, tours of the headquarters and product demonstrations.

In 2004, Fenella and John H. Kim realized there was a void in payment services available to business people in the Asian community so they founded Reliance Star Payment Services to provide these services for merchants in this niche market. Over a period of 10 years the company has evolved and expanded in scope. With a network of over 100 consultants nationwide, the company serves clientele representing an even more diverse group of multilingual businesses. The Kims have built an outstanding reputation for attentive, trusting customer service that has demonstrated up-to-date payment solutions for merchants, an area that is challenging for businesspeople to manage cost-effectively.

Inc. magazine ranked Reliance Star Payment Services in the top 5,000 of its 2013 and 2014 annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Based on customer service, the Better Business Bureau gave the company an A+ rating. Fenella Kim has been recognized as the 2014 “Enterprising Woman of the Year” by Enterprising Woman Magazine and was named a 2013 Queens’ Rising Star by Queens Courier. She was also selected to participate in Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Initiative in 2013 for people in business with potential.
