Schools Closed Monday; Polling Places Open Tuesday

The Great Neck public schools will be closed on Monday due to safety concerns.

All district based polling places will be open on Tuesday, according to the school district.

The following school-related events have been cancelled by the school district due to ongoing power outages in district buildings:

• The SAT exam originally scheduled for Nov. 3 is cancelled.
• The Board of Education Meeting originally scheduled for Nov. 5 has been postponed. 
• The North Middle Ashokan Trip originally scheduled for Nov. 6 is cancelled.
• The professional development activities for our teaching staff originally planned for Superintendent's Conference Day on Nov. 6 are cancelled. If school is in session, it will be a regular day of instruction.
