Schools Expected to Open Wednesday

Great Neck public schools will be closed on Tuesday and are expected to reopen the following day, according to the school district.

"It is our intention to open schools on Wednesday," according to a message on the school district website. "All students, staff, and parents should plan accordingly."

All district based polling places will be open on Tuesday, Election Day.

Schools have been closed since Oct. 29 due to superstorm Sandy. 

The following events have either been recently cancelled or postponed by the school district:

• A North Middle Ashokan trip originally scheduled for Nov. 6, has been cancelled.
• The Adult Program trip to the Frick Museum originally scheduled for Nov. 8 has been postponed.
