Public Schools Open Wednesday
After more than a week off, students return to class in Great Neck.

Great Neck public schools will open Wednesday after more than a week since being closed due to superstorm Sandy.
"Bus transportation will be running but expect some delays," according to the school district website. "If your street is inaccesible, you may need to make alternative arrangements for transportation, including the use of a different bus stop."
The district will use a limited menu for the school lunch program.

All after school programs, evening activities and field trips are canceled for the day.
SCOPE after school child care is open but parents are asked to pick up their children as soon as they are able to do so.
Schools has been closed Oct. 29 due the aftermath of Sandy.
