'The X Factor' Auditions Coming to Nassau Coliseum

Long Island singers looking for their big break can try out for Fox's reality competition show, "The X Factor" at the Nassau Coliseum Thursday.

According to a release, the first round of open-call auditions will take place on Thursday, however wristbands will be distributed from 8 a.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Thursday. 

People who are auditioning will not be permitted to camp out outside the Coliseum, which is located in Uniondale.

Those looking to catch a glimpse of celebrity judges Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato are out of luck. The first round of auditions will not feature the judges that are seen on television. Spots for two judges still remain open on the panel. 

The show's one winner will score a recording deal with Sony Music.
