U.S. Postal Service Truck Overturns in Great Neck

Firefighters responded to a U.S. Postal Service truck that drove off the road and overturned in Great Neck’s Village of Kensington on Sunday morning.

According to fire officials, the truck had driven off the roadway and struck a traffic signal before overturning at the intersection of East Shore Road and Beverly Road at 8:30 a.m.

Firefighters from the Great Neck Vigilant Fire Company and the Manhasset-Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.

The driver was able to remove himself from the truck and was evaluated by EMS members at the scene.

Firefighters also cleaned up a fuel leak caused by the crash.
