3 Hurt in Dix Hills Crash on New Year’s Eve
One person was rescued from the car using heavy rescue extrication tools.
Three people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash in Dix Hills on Saturday afternoon.
According to fire officials, the crash occurred on Jericho Turnpike and Old Country Road at 3:45 p.m.
About 35 Dix Hills firefighters responded to the scene and used heavy rescue extrication tools to rescue one of the people trapped from the crash.

The three people injured were transported to Huntington and Southside Hospitals by the Dix Hills Rescue Squad.
Firefighters and rescue personnel were on the scene with three heavy rescue trucks, three ambulances, first responder and paramedic units. All units were under the direction of Assistant Chief Joe Williamson.
