Niche.com ranked the top 100 elementary schools in New York.

Four elementary schools in the Half Hollow Hills School District were ranked among the top 100 public elementary schools in New York, based on new rankings of the best schools in the state from Niche.com.
Here’s how they placed:
- Signal Hill Elementary School— No. 74
- Paumanok Elementary School— No. 78
- Sunquam Elementary School— No. 89
- Otsego Elementary School— No. 100
One Half Hollow Hills elementary school did not make the top 100. Vanderbilt Elementary School was not ranked by Niche.

A school in the Cold Spring Harbor School District is the highest ranked school in Suffolk County.
According to Niche, a high ranking indicates that “students are happy with their experiences in all aspects, especially academics, teachers, and diversity,” “the school is an exceptional academic institution in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes,” and “the school is made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture.”
