The Dix Hills Fire Department visited Boy Scout Troop 33 at the James E. Allen Jr./Sr. High School on Friday, March 11 to educate the students on Fire Prevention. The Girl Scout Troop also joined in the presentation. Chief Rich Sorrentino and Firefighter Jordan Drelich were on hand to demonstrate to the students the importance of fire safety, exiting in the event of a fire, and stop, drop, and roll. In addition, students got to check out a working fire truck.
