Antique of the Week: Crystal Chandelier

Antique Market on East Jericho Turnpike is selling an original 1940's piece among other treasures.

This week’s Antique of the Week is a 1940’s Maria Theresa crystal chandelier listed at $1,200.

This type of chandelier is known as a “Maria Theresa” style because of its sweeping arch design and ornate dangling crystal fashion which became popular during the reign of Austrian Empress Maria Theresa (1740-1780) at the time of the Habsburg Dynasty.

This chandelier is all original and has been rewired. With chandeliers becoming a current popular home décor trend this antique would make a stunning focal point to any room.

This chandelier is available for sale at The Antique Market. The Antique Market is a treasure trove choc filled with antique keepsakes and collectibles from yesteryear; with more than 28 dealers you just never know what you will find.

The Antique Market is located at 700 East Jericho Turnpike across the street from the shopping center and down the side driveway; parking is in the rear. A suit of armor out front clearly marks the spot.

The Antique Market is open for business 7 days a week from 11 am to 5 pm.
