Give the Gift of Summer Camp to a Girl Scout in Need

While we at the Girl Scouts of Nassau County make every effort to budget funds and ensure that every girl who wishes to go to one of our summer camps can, we unfortunately cannot provide assistance to all of the families who need it. That’s why we’re asking the community for your support!

Consider helping a girl who cannot afford to attend Girl Scouts of Nassau County Summer Fun Day Camp and/or Sleep-away Camp at Camp Blue Bay by purchasing a campership today. Your donation will provide a one-of-a-kind camping experience to a local Girl Scout in need.

Every summer we provide a camp experience for more than 450 girls. For many of them, the dream of going to camp would be out of reach without assistance. In order to meet the increasing demand to provide opportunities for camp to as many girls as possible, we are asking the community to buy camperships – $625 for Camp Blue Bay and $350 for Summer Day Camp, but all donations are welcome.

The Girl Scouts of Nassau County currently offers two summer programs, which consist of one day camp located in Nassau County and one sleep-away camp located in East Hampton. The Summer Fun Day Camp is located at Wantagh Park. A typical day at this camp includes sports, arts & crafts, nature walks, singing and fun in the pool. On rainy days, girls participate in activities such as indoor games, crafts, songs and more. Camp Blue Bay in East Hampton is owned and operated by the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. It is located on 179 acres of beautiful beachfront property. The camp offers a variety of learning and challenging experiences. A typical day at this camp includes boating, swimming, crafts, team building activities, nature games, campfires, singing and more. The camps are open to the general public. Day Camp is open to girls in grades 1-7 and Sleep-away Camp is open to girls in grades 1-11.
