Library Budget Vote & Trustee Election

The annual Half Hollow Hills Community Library budget vote and trustee election is on is Tuesday, April 3, 9:30 am-9 pm, at the .  You'll find our flyer attached, but here are some interesting numbers from 2011:

• 675,085 items were borrowed
• 26,416 adults, children, and teens attended 1,344 library programs
• 68,691 reference questions were answered (6% increase)
• 254 personal computer lessons
• 24,534 items downloaded for reading and listening
• If you borrow instead of purchase 2 adult books and 2 children's books monthly, you save $1200 a year.
• If you borrow 1 DVD you save $192 over Netflix.
• If you borrow instead of purchase 1 book on cd monthly, you save $300 a year.
• If you use online homework help, you save $1200 a year instead of a private tutor.
• If you attend a Wee Play program with your toddler, you save $300 a year.
