At NEFCU we're committed to helping the youth of Long Island get the right financial education they need to shine.

At NEFCU, we’re committed to helping the youth of Long Island get the right financial education they need to shine.
That’s why we’re very excited to introduce our new website, CUshine.org, designed specifically for 18 to 26 year olds. This website is the latest addition to our financial literacy outreach program and we hope it will be a valuable resource to help young adults manage their personal finances when heading off to college and/or entering the workplace.
What can you expect to find on CUshine.org? Advice on:
- Savings for the future
- Managing credit
- Careers
- Student loans
- Buying a car
- Scholarship opportunities
- College life and more!
We want CUshine.org to be a tool that young people can use to access all of the financial information they need in one convenient place, that’s also written in a voice they understand and can relate to. That’s why we have partnered with students at the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University to create content for the site that is written and presented from the GEN Y perspective. Students will blog and create videocasts about relevant issues for young adults, who are starting their careers, working towards a degree and becoming financially independent.
We encourage all Long Islanders to visit CUshine.org and spread the word about this new financial literacy website intended specifically for young adults.
