Cheapest Gas in the Dix Hills Area

Be wise when filling up your tank - check our weekly guide to the cheapest gas prices around the Dix Hills area before you head to the gas station.

Gas prices are on the rise this week and it's getting tougher to find a regular gallon of gas under $3. But we found a few.

The winners this week, at $2.79 a gallon for regular gas, are the two gas stations at the corner of Deer Park Avenue and Nichols Road: The Citgo station at 1985 DPA The Gulf station is right across the street at 1970 DPA. 

If you don't want to head that far south because you live closer to Jericho Turnpike, you can visit the Shell station at the corner of E. Jericho Tpke and Elwood Road (1905 E. Jericho Tpke.). They have regular gas for $2.89. That station has a Huntington zip code. 

What if you are in the Commack area? You may want to try the two stations right at the corner of Commack Road and the LIE Service Road.  The Mobil on the corner of Commack Road and the LIE North Service Road (695 Commack Road) is selling regular gas for $2.95 a gallon (cash price).

Right across the street from the Mobil is a Shell station (700 Commack Road), where you can pump your own gas for $2.95 a gallon for regular gas.
