How It’s Served: The Chinese Roast Pork is thinly sliced and served as a sandwich on a grilled garlic hoagie roll; it’s accompanied by a side of fries and duck sauce.
Taste: The signature red “bark” of the pork gives the meat a mildly smoky flavor that is nicely offset by dried herbs, while the sweetness of the duck sauce balances the meat’s slight saltiness. The lightly grilled garlic hoagie roll absorbs some of the juices from the meat, and also provides a great textural contrast between the crusty bread and the tender pork.
Thin-cut, fried to a golden-brown, and seasoned to perfection, the fries are a welcome addition to the Chinese Roast Pork.
With its extensive menu and well-seasoned staff, a trip to Olympic Diner is sure to satisfy any craving.
