Dix Hills Actress Stars in Commercial for LI International Film Expo
Helen Proimos talks about her latest role as Madame Vera, as well as raising her son, "Sopranos" star, Brandon Hannan.
Dix Hills Actress Helen Proimos has been all over television lately in her newest role as "Madame Vera, the fortune teller" in the new commercials for the Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE), which runs from July 12 until July 19 at the Bellmore Movies. Check out the video to see what she has to say about the new commercial series.
Proimos is a professional actress who started her career in 1986. She's appeared in several commercials, soap operas and film projects over the years. She has also produced films including "Taught to Hate", which was featured at LIIFE. Proimos says she's a strong supporter of LIIFE and has been involved with the festival for the past 15 years.
Perhaps Proimos' greatest role though is that of mother. Brandon Hannan, who played Vito Spatafore, Jr. in "The Sopranos" is her son. Proimos said she trained him in acting. Hannan was a Contender for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Male Actor In A Drama Series for his role.
