Dix Hills Resident Appointed to LIASB Board

Ed Scheine joins the board of directors of the Long Island Advancement of Small Business.

Ed Scheine, a Dix Hills resident, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Long Island Advancement of Small Business (LIASB).

Scheine works in Hauppauge as an attorney and business coach. He is also the president of the Business Corners in Hauppauge, the first coworking facility in Long Island. The purpose of coworking is to provide a creative and collaborative environment for small business owners and professionals.

“Ed Scheine is a businessman first and an attorney second,” said John Hill, president and CEO of LIASB. “He is very good with providing ideas and suggestions based on his years in the business world, and we need someone like that to advise our small-business owners.”

LIASB is an East Northport-based membership organization that supports small businesses by providing affordable training and insurance as well as an increased sphere of influence and a single, audible voice for communicating with political leaders.

“It is an absolute privilege to be asked to be part of the board at LIASB,” Scheine said. “LIASB is, in my opinion, the premier education and support organization for small business in Long Island. I look forward to working with John Hill and the rest of the board.”
