Dix Hills Student Wins 'Take a Duck to Class' Essay Contest
The Long Island Ducks mascot will visit the winning student's classroom.

A fourth grader from Dix Hills was announced Tuesday as one of the four winners of the annual TD Bank “Take a Duck to Class” essay contest.
The winners will have the Long Island Ducks mascot, QuackerJack, visit them at their school for an hour. This year’s contest had a record number of essay submission.

- Sophie Jaeyoon Kil— third grader at A.P. Willits Elementary School in Syosset
- Madelyn Moreno— kindergartener at Harley Avenue Primary School in East Northport
- Abigail Huners— fourth grader at Paumanok Elementary School in Dix Hills
- Georgia Grace Berriola— fourth grader at RJO Intermediate School in Kings Park
Visiting dates are being selected for the winners. The four students will also receive a Visa Gift Card, courtesy of TD Bank.
Contestants were able to pick up entry forms at Bethpage Ballpark, the home of the Ducks, or download them online from the LI Ducks website.
