Dix Hills Woman Honored by Suffolk County

The local resident was recognized as a top woman in business during Women's History Month.

A Dix Hills woman was honored by Suffolk County at an event that recognized women business owners last month.

Vanessa Braxton, owner of Black Momma Vodka, was one of the women honored who has shown a commitment to improving her community.

“It is an honor to recognize Suffolk County trailblazers who are entrepreneurs, business owners and the backbone of life in suburban communities,” Suffolk County executive Steve Bellone said.

The event, hosted by Bellone and legislators Sarah Anker and Monica Martinez, was held on Wednesday, March 25 as part of Women’s History Month.

Another Dix Hills woman was recently honored by Nassau County.
