Donation Helps Preschoolers Plant Garden

Five Star Landscape helps St. Luke children grow blossoming flowers.

Something new is growing at due to one dad's generosity.

Peter Libardi, father of pre-K student Isabella, recently donated topsoil to fill the empty planter on the school’s playground. Libardi, the owner of Five Star Landscape and Design in Melville, wanted to help the school improve the area around an old oak tree so that it can be used for planting.

“Gardening helps children connect with nature and is a wonderful experience,” St. Luke Preschool Director Regina Farinaccio said. “The support of Mr. Libardi and Five Star Landscaping has allowed us to move this project forward much more quickly than we expected.”
