Barbecue Fun-Raiser & Old Time Carnival

The Walt Whitman Birthpace and the Kiwanis Club of Huntington host the 4th annual BBQ Fun-raiser and Old-Time carnival.

There will be live period music by Stuart Markus and contra dancing, 1880's lawn games, craft making, face painting, Ole Baseball demo with actors dressed in authentic costume, Civil War Re-enactment, a Chinese Auction, vendors and Walt Whitman House tours.

The BBQ will be provided by Outback Steakhouse and will include steak, chicken, burgers and corn.

All proceeds will benefit the Walt Whitman Birthplace's school and lieracy programs and the Kiwanis Club's Summer Kamp, Sears Christmas Shopping Tour and the Thanksgiving Basket Program.
