Evening of Jazz

An evening of Jazz with the Five Towns College Jazz Orchestra directed by Demetrios Spaneas and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble directed by Stephen Gleason.

The FTC Jazz Orchestra plays the big bands of yesterday and today including Paul Whiteman, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Dizzy Gillespie, Gil Evan, Tito Puente and Brazilian Jazz.

The premier FTC Vocal Jazz Ensemble sings sophisticated arrangements of renowned classic composers and original works of artists-in-residence. They offer audiences a modern repertoire rooted in jazz and popular music with the finest young singers performing a cappella and instrumental accompanied works that will astound you.
