On Thursday May 12, Tanger Outlet Centers nationwide will be celebrating their 30th Anniversary by trying to set A Guinness World record for staging the largest dessert party.
Shoppers should arrive at any Tanger Factory Outlet Center, including Deer Park and Riverhead, by 2:30 to pick up free cookies, cupcakes and brownies.
The official eating time will be synchronized to take place between 3 and 3:15 p.m.

There will be an observer for about every 50 people to ensure that all the dessert eating takes place at the same time.
Reservations are not necessary, but the event will be closed once capacity is reached. Allow plenty of time to park and walk to the event.
