Seminar: Intellectual Resistance During the Holocaust-Escape Through Books, Reading and Storytelling

During this seminar entitled "Intellectual Resistance During the Holocaust-Escape Through Books, Reading and Storytelling," learn about the prisoner-run library that was established in the ghetto concentration camp Theresienstadt. The “Ghettozentralbucherei” (Ghetto Central Library) during World War II that opened in November of 1942 and remained in operation, offering prisoners vital means of escape and solace, until liberation in May of 1945.
This lecture is made possible by a grant form the New York Council for the Humanties and will be presented by Miriam Intrator, Doctoral Candidate, Graduate Center, City University of New York.
