HHH Camps Rated Best on LI

Campers, counselors and parents have ranked in Melville their favorite camp on Long Island, according to a camp review website.

CampRatingz.com, which was founded by Long Islander Laura Miller, along with Internet entrepreneurs John Swapceinski (founder of RateMyProfessors.com) and Bob Nicholson, compiled data on user ratings of staff, facilities, activities, personal attention and monetary value to rank the camps. 

Other camps in the Half Hollow Hills areas that made the the top 20 include Sweet Hills Riding Center (ranked fourth) and  (ranked 11th) in Melville. The Usdan Center for Creative and Performing Arts in Wheatley Heights, where Natalie Portman and Mariah Carey were once campers, was ranked second.  and Huntington Bay Hill Beach Combers in Huntington are in the top 20 as well.

The average rating for Kenwal Day Camp was 4.7, with 5 being the highest possible rating.
